UIA’s Annual Fundraiser Dinner

For over 28 years, United Interfaith Action of Southeastern MA has made great strides towards social, economic, and racial justice. Since 1996, UIA has organized congregations in Fall River and New Bedford to take on issues such as education, public safety, and the economy. Some of the solutions UIA has brought to the city are winning funds to open after school programs in Fall River and New Bedford, establishing Teacher-Home visits in the public schools, introducing the Innovation School Policy in New Bedford, helping to fund the Shannon Youth Outreach Program winning job training funds for Southeastern MA, as well more recently winning an increase in the minimum wage and securing paid, family medical leave. Currently, UIA is addressing the issues of funding for our schools & equity in education, advocating for housing stability & more affordable housing, and building a safer and stronger community for everyone regardless of race or whether they be new immigrants or life-long residents. UIA is truly making Southeastern MA a better place for all!

McGovern’s in Fall River. This will be a powerful and inspiring evening, bringing together grassroots leaders from many different cultures and community leaders from across our cities. We welcome your sponsorship by placing an ad in the program book or by making a donation, as we put our faith into action for change!
